Clinique

Question:
After years of bad skin, the one thing that's worked for me its the clinique 3 step system.
BUT it's £53 quid every couple of months and that isn't so money saving.
Does anyone know where to buy it cheaper OR of an equivalent skin care range that is a wee bit cheaper?? (i.e. does anyone else have stuff coming out the same factory!)
Answers:
I used to think that expensive skin care was a con, but after shingles left me with ridiculously sensitive skin, I discovered Clinique.
I have had some good deals from Ebay. I'm currently using All About Eyes, £7.99 instead of £22, and Moisture Surge for about half price.
I think you could waste money trying other brands (my daughters have done very well out of my search for an alternative) but perhaps someone will tell us both where the real bargain source of Clinique is!

Well I heard a rumour M&S stuff is made by clinique, but it doesn't do the same things. I've had too many allergic reactions to supermarket etc stuff...
I must just have overpriced skin.

I was at a Virgin Vie party and the adviser there said that their products are made by the same people as Clinique... but I think Virgin Vie stuff is also a bit pricey sometimes.
Have you looked at larger Tesco stores? I know they do Clinique skincare quite a bit cheaper. The larger stores of 'Savers' and 'Bodycare' near me also do quite a bit of the Clinique range a fair bit cheaper.

You can quite often pick it up at more reasonable prices on ebay. New and sealed from reputable dealers. I've yet to have aproblem with anyone selling it.

One word of warning with buying Clinique on ebay if you have sensitive skin is to check whether it is made in Europe or America. It might or might not effect you as it depends on what you are sensitive to, but the American Clinique uses different ingredients. I found out the hard way after buying some in America that after one use made my skin really sore.
So perhaps a quick check with the seller where it was manufactured.

You could use the information on these boards to book your next holiday to the USA and pick up a load while you are there for low prices. EG, Clinique Dramatically Different $23 (and that was in a tourist place), the best on ebay for the same was about £23. Its the same for the rest of the range.
You'll find it in most department stores over there (unlike Elemis, but thats a different story!!)

Some of the M&S stuff is supposed to be made by Clarins, not Clinique (in answer to an earlier poster). I have heard that the ladies who work for Clarins are even allowed to use their staff discount on the M&S line.

Clairns is made by Estee Lauder, who also make things like Aveda, Bobby Brown, Mac, Tommy etc. I'm not sure they make any brands for the high street - but do some skincare for Harrods.
They do have a factory shop in Petersfield in Hampshire which has fantastic discounts but admittance is by invitation only and for staff.

I too like Clinique products and have, in the past bought from ebay. I am presently looking for some DDDM but I have noticed that some of the containers are different. The one I am using at present says DDDM with some french writing underneath, but if you look closely at some of the offerings on ebay, there are bottles without the french wording. Maybe its just me being extra careful. Also some of the prices (especially on the buy it now deals) are dearer than the shops so worth checking. Regards- sallysaver

Clinique not Clarins is made by Estee Lauder. There used to be a shop called The Company Store at Bicester Village that sold cheap Clinique and Estee Lauder but I haven't been there fro ages and don't know if it's still there

I love Clinique too, but as it's a bit pricey I only ever buy it when they have the bonus time with the free gifts, preferably in Boots, so I can use my advantage card aswell!
